The Karnataka government has taken the initiative to develop the 46 Kempegowda heritage sites in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Chikballapura, and Tumakuru districts.
The aim of this initiative is to simply attract tourism. The chief minister of the present government of Karnataka BS Yediyurappa stated that the project will cost up to Rs 223 crore for promoting tourism.
According to the Authority, these places are contracted to help people recognise the enrichment of Kempegowda or Nada Prabhu Kempegowda, the founding father of Bengaluru.
