India beat Great Britain 3-1 to enter the men’s hockey semifinals. India gained most of the opposing mistakes early on in the match. The opening goal came in the first quarter as Simranjeet Singh took the ball, and passed it to Dilpreet who was competing alone inside the circle. The boy made no mistake and gave India the direction. The second one came at the start of the 2nd quarter – as Gurjant Singh, confused, turned and hit it into the nets to multiply India’s head. Hardik Singh provided a moment of brilliance as he obtained in the final quarter to increase India’s lead. Sam Ward made rude 15 minutes for India in the match as he secured a goal from a penalty corner to end the third quarter.
