New Delhi: India’s infrastructure output in June increased 8.9% year-on-year, linked with 16.8% in the preceding month, the government data on Friday revealed. The eight core industries viz. coal, crude oil, natural gas, refinery products, fertilizers, steel, cement and electricity comprise 40.27 per cent of the weight of items involved in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP).
The production weakened in just one out of the eight core sector industries i.e. crude oil, declared the data published by the Union Commerce and Industry Ministry.
