National Fish Farmers’ Day is observed every year on 10 July, by the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying in association with the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB). The celebration intends to bring awareness to changing the way the country operates fisheries support to ensure sustainable plants and healthy ecosystems. This day is presented to honour the fish farmers, mumpreneurs, fisherfolks, stakeholders and whoever else is connected in the fishery for their enrichment in the fishery.
