The Kerala High Court on Friday put up with strong irregularity to what it termed an attempt by the Central government to delay a case based on technicalities in the case of Kitex Garments Limited v. the State of Kerala.
Single-judge Justice PB Suresh Kumar, who had recently adjourned the issue several times owing to delay by the government in filing statements, strongly chastised the government for arguing on technicalities when the Court was prepared to hand over the orders.
The Court also told that people’s belief in the judicial system is very poor and even that will be lost, if issues are postponed or dismissed on technical grounds.
The Court was learning a plea by Kitex Garments Limited pursuing to administer the second dose of COVID vaccine to its hireling without pausing for the 84-day time gap between two doses
It was their statement that has already acquired an adequate stock of the vaccine.
Central government counsel Dayasindhu Shreehari asserted that the petition shouldn’t be fascinated as none of the employees had reached the government or the Court directly with any complaint observing the gap between the doses.
