Prime Minister Narendra Modi will publish the next instalment of the financial privilege granted under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on August 9, 2021.
1. An amount of more than Rs 19, 500 will be given to more than 9.75 crores beneficiary farmer households.
2. Prime Minister will also communicate with farmer recipients during the event.
About PM-KISAN scheme
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme was launched in February 2019. Under this scheme, the central government gives an amount of Rs 6,000 per year. This amount is assigned in three equal instalments, straight into the bank accounts of all landholding farmers. The amount is assigned to all the beneficiaries irrespective of the size of their landholdings.

The objective of the scheme
PM-KISAN scheme was started with the intention of increasing financial demands of Small and Marginal Farmers in getting inputs in order to assure proper crop health and proper yields. It also attempts to shield farmers from falling in connections of moneylenders to reach such expenses and ensure their continuation in farming activities.
How do farmers check their credits?
Under the scheme, PM-KISAN Mobile App has been originated. It has been produced and created by National Informatics Centre in association with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. This app can be applied to observe the status of their application, renew or carry out corrections of Aadhaar cards. Farmers can also review the history of accounts to their bank statements.
