The distance from Assam’s Silchar railway station to Vaingaichunpao railway station in Manipur has been completed by the First passenger train, Rajdhani Express. The distance of 11km was just a trail through which the state has been added to the Indian Railways map.
During the trial, the railway official was on board from two northeastern stations. The train was welcomed by the local citizens at Manipur’s Jiribam railway station, The starting took place by the National Anthem. Prominently, the Vaingaichunpao-Imphal (capital of Manipur) has not been fully constructed but when it get ready it will be the longest railway tunnel near Imphal.
