The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on July 28, 2021, interacted with PM Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval for the discussions. He was on a tour to India on July 27-28, 2021 for the original time.
The event was significant as it happened at a time when the removal of US troops from Afghanistan may have sent the country into a Civil War and when China has converted an important challenge for both the US and India.
During the discussions, Blinken attributed great attention to the relationship between India and the US and confirmed that it will remain to be more effective under the Biden administration.
