The WHO Global Center for Traditional Medicine (WHO GCTM) was approved by the Union Cabinet by signing a national agreement to host the program on March 9, 2022. The WHO GCTM will be based in Jamnagar Gujarat and will assist in establishing AYUSH systems worldwide and providing leadership in global health issues related to traditional medicine.
The Union Cabinet also gave its approval to the MoU signed between the ICMR and the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NIAID), the National Center for Health and Human Services, in the US in September 2021.

The Union Cabinet was also briefed on the Memorandum of Understanding between ICMR and Oxford University in November 2021.
