Advocate practicing at the Calcutta High Court, holding an LLM from the prestigious City University of London. Graduated with BA LL.B (Hons.) from the Department of Law, Calcutta University.
Where she graduated with distinction, and was honored to have received the City Law School Prize in Intellectual Law and Policy 2021 for her academic achievements.
In her legal career, she practises in areas of law including corporate, commercial, real-estate, intellectual property, alternate dispute resolution and moves cases for various corporate and individual clients among other fields.
She has had the privilege of co-authoring several papers for the law firm she is associated with, Lincoln Legal Chambers, and she currently serves as a member of their editorial board.
Her experience in research and writing has allowed her to delve into complex areas of law, particularly intellectual property rights, in light of which, one of her notable publications is a paper she authored, titled “Plain Packaging Tobacco: A Multi-Jurisdictional Commentary Relating to the Effect on Intellectual Property Rights and What the Tobacco Industry Plans Ahead of the Alleged Curtailment on Its Branding,” which was published on SSRN. This work explores the intersection of intellectual property law and the tobacco industry, addressing the potential impact of plain packaging regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
